Youngster agrees United exit

henriquez_dinamoManchester United have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb to sell Angelo Henriquez to the Croatian side for €1m (£780,000).

The 20-year-old joined Croatia’s biggest club on loan last summer and Dinamo’s manager Zoran Mamic told Chilean website Prensa Futbol that the striker will make his move permanent at the end of the season.

“We have bought him outright for €1m,” Mamic said.

“We have already signed a contract with him for the summer.

“There is no doubt it is ours and deal is resolved.”

Henriquez has impressed during his spell in the Croatian capital,  earning himself a spot in the Croatian Team of the Half-Season – awarded to the best XI players of the HNL before the winter break – after scoring six goals and assisting a further two in 12 league appearances this season.

The Chilean arrived at United in September 2012 from Universidad Catolica de Chile and was then loaned out to Wigan for the second half of the 2012-13 season, scoring once in eight matches, before spending last season on loan at Real Zaragoza, where he netted six times in 25 appearances.

However, as it’s becoming all too common with United youngsters, Henriquez will leave the club without having been given the opportunity to earn a spot in the first team squad, despite impressing for the U21 side.
