Wolves vs Man Utd: FA Cup semi-final preview & betting odds

Manchester United will be aiming to book their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday night, and you can use this football index referral code to back them.

The Red Devils head in to the game off the back of a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend which dented our hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

We now sit fifth in the Premier League table – two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal and three of Tottenham – with eight games remaining so the battle for Champions League qualification is going to be tight.

However, Manchester United’s focus this weekend is on the FA Cup as we look to go one step closer to lifting the trophy with a tough trip to Wolves in the quarter-finals.

The hosts are enjoying an excellent campaign as they sit seventh in the division and were unlucky not to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last week so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know not to take this task too lightly.

Team news

We’ve been managing a lengthy injury list in recent weeks but the players are slowly returning to fitness with Anthony Martial making his comeback against Arsenal while Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are pushing for recalls this weekend after hamstring injuries.

Jesse Lingard is back in light training but the Wolves game will come too soon so he’ll remain out along with Alexis Sanchez. It remains to be seen when Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian will be available again.

Wolves have no fresh injury concerns and have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from but Ryan Bennett is out through suspension.

Prediction & betting odds

The guys at omegatipsters.com are backing Man Utd to edge it this weekend and I tend to agree. Wolves have a poor record against United as they’ve won just one of the last 10 meetings and that came back in 2011. I’m in no doubt this will be a tough game but I’m confident United can secure a 2-1 win to book our place in the semi’s.

Manchester United are 13/10 to win inside the 90 minutes and 6/10 favourites to progress to the last-4 including extra-time and penalties. Wolves can be backed at 23/10 to win in 90 minutes or 6/5 to qualify for the semi-finals. Alternatively, you may want to read the matched betting secrets for no risk betting profit.

Our prediction of 2-1 Manchester United is available at odds of 15/2 and I also think both teams to score is a solid bet at 3/4. If we add Romelu Lukaku as the first goalscorer in a 2-1 United win we get great odds of 47/1.
