West Ham unable to complete Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal, turn their attention to Kieran Trippier

Manchester United have received another blow in the summer transfer window as their failure to sell players continues.

According to the Telegraph, West Ham United have turned their attention to Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier after failing in their pursuit of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham have reportedly reached an agreement with Wan-Bissaka but have yet to strike a deal with Man United.

The Red Devils are demanding up to £18 million to allow the 26-year-old leave but the Hammers remain persistent on their £10m offer.

Man United struggling to sell players

With INEOS coming in, many people hoped United would be more proactive in this transfer window.

The new co-owners started on a positive front by signing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

However, things have been stagnant for a few weeks, which could impact manager Erik ten Hag.

After spending over £85m on the two new players, United are looking to generate funds by offloading their out-of-favour performers.

Wan-Bissaka is one of the players on United’s transfer list.

The Englishman has entered the final year of his Old Trafford deal and could agree to a pre-contract with a club overseas in January.

United have the last chance to cash in on the player but are facing major challenges.

West Ham and Inter Milan have been linked with the right-back.

The Hammers are leading the race, but they appear willing to walk away from a potential deal.

Casemiro, Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho could also be sold this summer but clubs have yet to show concrete interest in them.

United need a new full-back, centre-back and a holding midfielder to bolster their squad.
