West Ham ‘focused’ on Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, talks in next ’48 hours’

Manchester United are gearing up to strengthen their squad but need to offload some players to free up funds.

The 26-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka will likely head for the exit door soon as his current deal expires next summer.

United are reportedly considering selling the right-back, with West Ham United and Inter Milan keen to sign him.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, West Ham are focused on signing Wan-Bissaka and have planned new talks for the next 48 hours.

The Hammers were interested in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui, but the deal collapsed when they could not reach an agreement with the player’s agent.

United have lowered their demands for Wan-Bissaka. They are ready to sanction his exit for around £15 million.

Wan-Bissaka’s time at Man United seems to be over

The former Crystal Palace man has been a fine servant for United, but the club are seeking a more attacking full-back to fit their evolving tactical needs.

His tenure at Old Trafford cannot be classified as a failure. He has been defensively sound and showcased his fantastic one-on-one tackling ability.

Modern football demands full-backs to contribute offensively. This is the area where Wan-Bissaka has struggled.

United would prefer to offload him and sign a full-back who can offer more in the final third.

He has slipped down the pecking order, with Diogo Dalot a clear first choice for the right-back spot.

The Hammers expressed their interest in signing Wan-Bissaka, but he reportedly rejected their proposal. He favours a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan.

It will be interesting to see what the Hammers could offer to the right-back to reconsider his decision.

United have been linked with several full-backs in the last few weeks.

Denzel Dumfries, David Hancko, Tyrick Mitchell and Mazraoui are reportedly their transfer targets.
