A selection of Manchester United supporters have reacted on Twitter after it was announced that the club would be facing Chelsea in the fourth round of the League Cup next month.
United started off their season with a stunning 4-0 win over the Blues in the Premier League opener but they have since produced a mixed run of performances and required a penalty shoot-out to progress against Rochdale in the League Cup third round.
Amidst this, they have been drawn against Frank Lampard’s side in the fourth round of the Cup competition and many of the fans don’t expect the club to progress further with the game scheduled to be played at Stamford Bridge.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions….
Why everyone so negative we already beat them 4-0, we will have Shaw, Martial and Pogba fully fit. Will be close, not 4-0 but maybe 2-1 to us. Remember Chelsea disappear in big games.

Both United and Chelsea have registered the same number of points (eight) in the Premier League and the Red Devils are ahead of their London counterparts with a much-better goal difference.
Still, the goalscoring has been a genuine concern for Solskjaer’s side and they have managed just six goals from seven matches since the Premier League curtain-raiser.
On the contrary, the Blues have fared way better with 19 goals in the same space of time and the Cup tie promises an intriguing contest with United possessing the better defensive statistics.
Manchester United are scheduled to host Arsenal at Old Trafford during the forthcoming Premier League clash. Solskjaer could welcome Anthony Martial from a thigh injury ahead of the Monday night showdown.
