‘We are ready’ – Everton manager Sean Dyche sends out an electrifying message ahead of Man United clash

Everton manager Sean Dyche has sent a heartfelt message to his players and fans ahead of their showdown with Manchester United at Goodison Park this evening.

Man United boss Erik ten Hag agreed that Everton’s players and fans will be angry about the ten-point penalty imposed on the club for a breach of Premier League profitability and sustainability rules.

The deduction has dropped Everton in the standings. Dyche has sent a passionate plea to the supporters to unite everyone.

He told Evertonfc.com: “It’s fair to say we were all shocked – the slub, Evertonians and I believe the world of football – at the decision to deduct ten points in the Premier League during the international break.

“Today, we welcome Erik ten Hag, his staff, players and everyone connected with Manchester United.

“They visit us with good form in the Premier League and with a high-calibre squad that was invested heavily in over the summer to further boost the quality options available to them.

“We are ready for the challenge. We head into the game having won three of our past four games.

“I can feel there is a sense of determination amongst all of us to pull together and show what Everton is about – as a team of players, supporters and as a football club.”

Man United must start well against an angry home crowd

Visiting Goodison Park is never easy, but it could be even harder today.

The home supporters will be raging after the punishment they have received. They fought hard to retain their Premier League status last season.

However, the ten-point penalty has forced them into the relegation battle again.

The Toffees’ supporters are expected to be very vocal and fully behind their team to get a positive result today.

The Red Devils must start well, as the opening few minutes could define the pace of the game.

They may be required to soak pressure and simultaneously take the game to the opposition.

Man United players must eliminate the outside noise and focus on winning the three points.

A win today will take them to sixth spot, one point ahead of Newcastle United – their next opponents.

A quick start for the visitors could create tension in the crowd as they know every game for them is crucial to remain in the English top flight.
