[Video] Paul Pogba scores stunning free kick in France win

Paul Pogba’s performances for Manchester United have been questioned by many journalists and fans this season.

The French midfielder hasn’t been the dominating midfielder under Jose Mourinho that he was for Juventus for four years before his £89 million move in the summer of 2016.

Pogba’s performances for France haven’t dipped though and his future in Didier Deschamps’ national team haven’t come under question.

The 25-year-old was one of four outfield players to play the full 90 minutes during France’s 3-1 win in Russia on Tuesday.

Kylian Mbappe scored a goal late in each half against the 2018 World Cup hosts, whilst Paul Pogba added his name to the scoresheet four minutes into the second half, making it 2-0 with a stunning free kick into the top corner.

Russia had halved the deficit midway through the second half through Fyodor Smolov before Mbappe’s second goal ensured victory in the country they will be looking to lift the World Cup this summer.

France face Australia, Peru and Denmark in their World Cup group this summer and are currently the bookmakers’ third favourites to go all the way.
