United turn to Bayern Munich youngster as Jadon Sancho deal on the brink of collapse

Dortmund set a deadline of Monday to reach an agreement with Manchester United, otherwise, there would be no deal. And with no agreement in sight, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has declared that Sancho will be staying in Germany next season.

Dortmund insisted that the deal goes through before the players head out to Switzerland for their pre-season training so that they have enough time to look for an alternative to replace the English international.

Speaking on Monday, Zorc said: ‘We plan with Jadon Sancho. He’ll play for us next season. The decision is final. I think that answers all of the questions.’

Zorc also went on to reveal that the club secretly renewed Sancho’s contract until 2023 a year ago. Officials at Old Trafford are understood to look at Dortmund’s deadline as meaningless with the transfer window open until October 5.

Although Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have proved a triumphant trio up ahead, all of them prefer a more centric role. up in the middle. If the Sancho deal does indeed fall through, United is looking to make a loan offer to Frenchman Kingsley Coman.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his attack and a dazzling winger is set to do the job. Coman therefore would perfectly fit the demand. But, if speculations are to be believed, it is being reported that Bayern Munich would rather sell than loan him out.

Kingsley Coman, who is on a streak of nine straight league titles across Europe has already gathered quite the experience despite being just 24 years old. Despite his trophy cabinet being flooded by titles ,at his current venture he is not seen as an automatic starter and had to fight for a place in the playing XI against the likes of Serge Gnarby, Ivan Perisic, Thomas Muller and Philippe Coutinho.

With Leroy Sane joining the German champions next season, the competition for him is only going to get tougher. His skill and prowess in 1v1 situations and pacey runs out wide has made him a star attraction for Solskjaer.

But United’s No.1 priority is still Sancho – and they will be desperate a deal can be resurrected even though he has flown out to Switzerland with his BVB teammates.
