Manchester United were given a hero’s welcome in Sydney, during their open training session at the ANZ Stadium, ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against the A-League (Australia’s top flight division) All Star XI.
Robin Van Persie will not start tomorrow, but the Dutchman has already impressed his new manager David Moyes.
“I got to see him this week for the first time,” said the former Everton manager.
“You can see his ability in the control, touch and awareness he has shown, just in the small games we have played and bits of the finishing he has done this week.
“I have been impressed by his professionalism as well. We have over-trained him this week to try and make sure we build up his fitness but he has never complained about a thing.”
