It may have come to your notice that we hadn’t put up goal videos of Rossi and Nani’s goals in the U21 Championships. Pity they had to save their best till the very last when things were out of their hands. Both players featured in thumping wins, but were knocked out of the Championship.
Seriously you’d have to feel for them, when Kieran Richardson gets to play more in the tournament.

Rossi’s goal came from a counter attacking move. Full marks to him for his finish from a difficult angle. These are things that make me feel confident about our youth. They put me in moods where I’d say, to hell with Quagliarella, Tevez and Torres. We have a gem in our hands. Oh yes, did I mention he won the Man of the Match award?
Nani too had a cracking game against Israel where they won 4-0. He got the last goal with a brilliant long range strike, but also laid off the ball for a superb Manuel Fernandes goal(I wonder why Prem clubs are not too keen on him. Surely Everton should have sealed his deal.) And yeah, the bicycle kick also didn’t hurt.
