Two Italian clubs to battle over the signing of £11m Manchester United player

Italian outlet Tuto Mercato understands that Italian clubs AS Roma and AC Milan are interesting in signing Manchester United outcast Diogo Dalot.

A report from reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also suggests that AC Milan are in talks with United but no agreements are made.

United want the buyer to make a permanent move for Dalot.

Dalot arrived at Manchester United in 2018 under Jose Mourinho. However, he was never consistent and his lengthy injury record forced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka last year.

It was believed that he’d be backup for the English right-back but the Norwegian boss prefers Timothy Fosu-Mensah and not Dalot. It was evident as Ole picked Fosu-Mensah ahead of Dalot in Premier League’s opening fixture against Crystal Palace.

He made 23 appearances in his debut season. However, the number fell to 11 last term.

Dalot was previously linked to Everton as well. He is valued at £11m by Transfermarkt.
