As per the claims made by The Independent, there is a battle of nerves going on between Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players.
Manchester United have made an appalling start to their 2020-21 Premier League campaign.
They have lost both of their home matches and won just one from three fixtures in the domestic league so far.
On top of that, their defence conceded an eye-watering number of goals (11) in just three matches, becoming the second-worst defence behind West Bromwich Albion in Premier League.
The report claims that Manchester United players have started thinking that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t possess the ‘x-factor’ it takes to bring a club of Manchester United’s stature back to the pinnacle of European football.
An unnamed United player has even told his friend that “training is so basic” and “lacking in creativity”.
It has been also described that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his own concern over his position as Manchester United manager.
In total, the current situation at the red side of Manchester has been labelled as a “malaise”.
The name of Mauricio Pochettino has been reported widely to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm of the Manchester-based club sooner than later.
Manchester United have a difficult run of game upcoming over the next few game-weeks, with the teams like PSG, Chelsea, RB Leipzig, and Arsenal waiting along the road to face Mancunian side in succession.
