Manchester United’s Donny Van de Beek has admitted that he is eager to play regularly for United.
Speaking to United’s official club website, the Dutch International disclosed:
“Players always want to play games. Training is also nice, but the games… this is why you’re playing football”.
“I think a lot of games [means] we can improve always and I am sure that we will win more if we stay focused”.
Van de Beek joined United from Ajax in the summer transfer window. He was also a target for Spanish champions Real Madrid.
Following his arrival, Van de Beek found minutes hard to come by. Although he scored on his debut against Crystal Palace in the league, the 23-year-old is still waiting for his first league start.
Van de Beek’s statements suggest that he’s unhappy in his new surrounding. The Dutch international was a regular at his previous club proving his worth against the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid. He deserves more at Old Trafford.
However, he’s not better than Bruno Fernandes. The season is long and we are sure Solskjaer will find a way to make him content.
