Manchester United are in action on transfer deadline day as we’re down at Wembley Stadium to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
We’re on a five-game winning streak in all competitions since the turn of the year and haven’t conceded a single goal in any of our last six fixtures since Boxing Day.
Jose Mourinho has a largely fully fit squad to pick from with Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic the only absentees. On top of that the Portuguese coach rotated his team for Friday’s FA Cup tie at Yeovil Town.
Tottenham Hotspur played nearly 24 hours later in a 1-1 draw at Newport County with Mauricio Pochettino playing some of his first team regulars, including Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier.
We have kept Kane quiet in the past but that may be difficult this evening with Eric Bailly sidelined. Don’t be surprised if Mourinho has a plan to handle the Premier League’s top scorer though.
Going forward, Alexis Sanchez put in a man of the match performance on his debut at Yeovil and has already scored versus Tottenham this season, in the North London derby for Arsenal back in November.
I see this being a tight game with Mourinho tactically out-mastering Mauricio Pochettino in a Manchester United win.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Manchester United
