Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old is expected to slot into the right-sided number 10 role, linking up with fellow new recruit Matheus Cunha to form a potentially electric attacking duo.

Amad Diallo
Diallo was one of the rare bright sparks during United’s otherwise forgettable 2024–25 campaign.

His pace, dribbling and attacking instinct make him a perfect partner for Mbeumo down the right flank.
Amorim often tucks one of his wingers into wing-back duties, and Diallo’s energy makes him an ideal candidate.
Noussair Mazraoui
With Diallo likely locking down the right wing-back position and Diogo Dalot offering reliable cover, Mazraoui could be shifted into the right-sided centre-back role in a back three.
The 27-year-old had a fine debut season at Old Trafford, featuring 57 times across all competitions.
He made 20 of those appearances as a centre-back and has admitted that he feels more natural in that position when part of a back three.
Mazraoui is a technically sound defender and could help United progress the ball forward.
He is a press-resistant defender and fits the mould Amorim wants at the heart of his defence.
Bruno Fernandes
Amorim used Fernandes in the number 10 position and in midfield last term.
With the arrival of Mbeumo and Cunha, Fernandes could now occupy a permanent role in the midfield pivot.
Amorim wants one of his midfielders to dictate the tempo and carry creative responsibility.
Operating from deeper positions will give him the freedom to spray passes and feed the front three with precision balls.
Cunha, Mbeumo and Fernandes look like a thrilling creative trio on paper and they could light up Old Trafford if things click.
