Manchester United are reportedly planning to offload at least three first-team players as they seek to reinforce the squad during the next transfer window.
The current campaign has reached a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic but the board are still said to be assessing their targets for the summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, the club are likely to make at least three new signings ahead of next season and there could be a similar number of departures from Old Trafford.
Both Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard have fallen out-of-favour since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January and it is suggested that their positions could be re-evaluated by the club.
Meanwhile, Phil Jones is another player that has been mentioned. The England international has hardly earned playing time and has been restricted to just two appearances in the Premier League this term.
He is currently the fourth-choice centre-back behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly but there have been many occasions where left-back Luke Shaw has been favoured in a back three ahead of him.
Aside from the trio, Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez are likely to head through the exit door when they return from their respective loan deals at AS Roma and Inter Milan respectively.
Smalling is likely to be the subject of a number of offers, having impressed during the ongoing Serie A season but the same may not be the case with Sanchez, who has struggled for form following an ankle injury.
The Chilean is apparently reluctant to take a pay-cut to leave the club on a permanent basis during the summer and United may have to resort to another loan exit for the attacker.
