A selection of Manchester United fans were delighted with the performance of Mason Greenwood during the club’s convincing 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The Red Devils had gone into the game after successive Premier League defeats but they came up with a strong response as they comfortably beat their League One opponents on a sticky pitch at Prenton Park.
United had six different scorers in a game for the first time since the Sir Alex Ferguson era and Greenwood scored the final of those goals from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.
The teenager was unable to find the net through open play but the fans were still impressed with his impressive movement and his ambipedal ability as he scored the spotkick with his right foot.

Greenwood has 10 goals this season and has scored in the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Europa League. 18 years of age and has scored in every competition he’s played in. Nothing phases him.

Greenwood’s movement today was superb btw. Yes, lower leagues and all that, but he did very well. Impressed.
I know it’s not going to happen, but a season in the championship would do him the world of good for us. #mufc— Dan (@Altgthr) January 26, 2020
Greenwood took that penalty with his right foot. He is most certainly ambipedal like Cazorla, O. Dembélé, etc.
There is a difference between being strong on one's weaker foot and being ambipedal. It is such a useful tool to have as a player.

Greenwood bagged his 10th goal of the campaign with the penalty strike at Tranmere and he has now become the youngest United player to achieve that feat in more than three decades.
Obviously, the 18-year-old was not expected to earn regular minutes with the first-team this season but the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (on loan) last summer have certainly helped him.
Unlike some of his teammates, Greenwood has made most of the starting opportunities during the current campaign and the fans will be hoping that he can continue developing without the goalscoring burden.
With the injury to Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Greenwood remain the only picks for Solskjaer to lead the line. Hopefully, the club have planned to land a new striker, who can maintain a steady competition and avoid the risk of a possible burnout for one of the duo.
