The David Moyes’ era has officially started today, as Manchester United enter uncharted territory for the first time in 26 years. While it’s perfectly understandable to harbour some doubts over Moyes’ appointment, it’s worth remembering that he was chosen by Fergie, the man we trusted more than anybody else to have our club’s best interests at heart.
“Your job now is to stand by our new manager. That is important,” said Sir Alex after his last game at Old Trafford. Doubtful or not, Reds should be backing Moyes.
