‘Simple incredible’, ‘Truly sublime’, these Man United fans praise 23-year-old after his performance vs Partizan

A selection of Manchester United fans have heaped praise on Anthony Martial following his impressive goal in the 3-0 Europa League triumph over Partizan Belgrade on Thursday night.

Martial has endured a frustrating season with fitness concerns but he has been slowly finding his feet of late with a regular run of games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Against Partizan, Martial was tasked with the job of leading the line and he made the most of the opportunity by scoring a wonderful solo goal in the first half after dribbling past three Partizan defenders.

The Frenchman squandered another scoring chance moments later and he ended the game without managing another shot on target against the Serbian opponents.

Still, the club’s faithful have taken plenty of positives from the display and a few of them have praised the 23-year-old on Twitter while highlighting his importance to the team.

Martial has managed five goals and an assist from just nine appearances for the Red Devils this term. The Frenchman was impressive against Partizan with his quick and unpredictable link-up play with Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford and the fans will be hoping that he can replicate the same level of performance in the Premier League on a consistent basis.

United are currently 10th in the Premier League standings with a 10-point deficit already to the top four and there is certainly no room for more setbacks. Brighton & Hove Albion will be the team visiting Old Trafford on Sunday and the onus will be on the likes of Martial and Rashford to put up a quick and assertive display.
