Italian giants prepared to offer 29-year-old playmaker in part-exchange deal for Paul Pogba: report

Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer midfielder Aaron Ramsey as a makeweight as they seek to re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United during the next transfer window.

Pogba has been regularly linked with an exit from Old Trafford over the past year and this has partly resulted from the fact that he has been reluctant to put pen-to-paper on a new contract.

The Frenchman presently has 15 months remaining on his existing deal with the Red Devils but the club of course have the option to prolong his stay for another year through an extension clause.

According to The Transfer Window Podcast, the Bianconeri are willing to negotiate a part-exchange deal for Pogba and they are willing to allow Aaron Ramsey move in the opposite direction.

It is added that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains a keen admirer of Ramsey’s talents and believes the Welshman would bring the balance to the club’s midfield for the 2020/21 season and beyond.

Ramsey has plenty of Premier League experience from his days at Arsenal and he has proved on a number of occasions that he can make the difference from a central attacking midfield role.

However, the Welshman’s injury concerns are well documented and United can’t afford to sign a player, who has experienced muscular problems, which have kept him out of action at different stages of almost every season.

Solskjaer is understood to want a new central midfielder amid the possible departure of Pogba but the fans would surely prefer someone like James Maddison, who has similar versatile attributes to Ramsey and is much younger than the Welshman.
