He told reporters (live on Manutd.com): “Tyrell [Malacia] is fully in team training and no restrictions, and it’s good to plan his game minutes, maybe in the under-21s.”
Malacia is unlikely to be rushed back
The Netherlands international has not played a competitive game for the Red Devils since May last year.
He has since been recovering from knee surgery after multiple setbacks. Malacia has been involved in partial sessions and is now working fully with the squad.
However, he is unlikely to be rushed back to first-team action. The former Feyenoord man could get minutes with the development squad in order to boost his fitness.
Once he is deemed match fit, he could make his long-awaited comeback for the Red Devils.
Malacia may not be involved with the senior team until after the international break when new manager Ruben Amorim will be in the dugout.
United have had a dreadful start to the Europa League campaign with three straight draws. They will be desperate to pick up their maiden victory against PAOK tomorrow.
