Manchester United returned to winning ways on Thursday with a 2-0 victory over PAOK in the Europa League.
The Red Devils picked up their maiden win in the league phase, having previously drawn their last three games.
United will now return to Premier League action against Leicester City before the next international break.
Manuel Ugarte is most likely to line up alongside Casemiro in midfield despite a mixed performance against PAOK.
Incoming manager Ruben Amorim got the best out of Ugarte during their two years together at Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese will take charge of United from Monday and he is already looking forward to a reunion with Ugarte.
In a recent interview, Amorim said that the Uruguayans he managed are ‘incredible’ and Ugarte is ‘very talented’ and has ‘a lot of room’ to grow.
He told TNT Sports recently (via M.E.N): “All the Uruguayans I managed are incredible and that’s why I love all Uruguayans.
“Ugarte is a very talented boy and has a lot of room to grow. I am very happy to know that I have him back at Manchester United.”
Amorim could get the best out of Ugarte
Ugarte has had a tough start to his Premier League career. He has struggled to adapt to the higher intensity of the league.
However, the 23-year-old has impressed in the past with his ‘tireless‘ work rate and ability to win regular duels and tackles.
He played his best football under Amorim at Sporting CP, but was unable to find his stride after his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
It has been quite similar at United, but his fortunes could change under the tutelage of Amorim.
The 39-year-old has sent a positive feedback on Ugarte before his arrival, but the onus is on the midfielder to repay the faith.
