Former Manchester United player Roy Keane has spoken out on the future of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. [source- Daily Mail]
Solskjaer has been under pressure since his arrival at the Theatre of Dreams, but the clamoring for his head has increased since United’s 6-1 defeat to Tottenham.
Keane spoke to ITV and had this to say:
‘The performance against Spurs was disgraceful. A disgrace to the badge with that performance”.
“(There were) too many bluffers and ultimately, these players will cost Ole his job”.
“They threw the previous manager (Mourinho) under the bus. They will do the same to Ole”.
Keane also believes that there are ‘tough days ahead’ for United due to their poor showing in the transfer window.
Former United manager Jose Mourinho was sacked in 2018 by the club after a run of bad form, which culminated in a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.
He masterminded Spurs’s rout at the Old Trafford, exacting revenge from his former employers.
Despite these morbid views, The alarm bells are not tolling at Manchester United.
Italian transfer mogul Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on all the rumors linking Solskjaer to the sack.
Speaking on his podcast Here We Go, Romano said there is no truth to the rumors of Solskjaer being fired.
With much of the season remaining, Only time will tell whether OGS would be able to lead Man United to glory-filled season.
