Ronaldo’s return is “impossible”

1412815270699_wps_20_Real_Madrid_s_Cristiano_RCristiano Ronaldo will not return to Manchester United, according to his agent. Jorge Mendes, the same agent who looks after the interest of Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria, has insisted that there’s absolutely no chance of the Portuguese returning to United and that Ronaldo will finish his career with Real Madrid.

Mendes admitted that United hold a special place in Ronaldo’s heart but said it was “impossible” for him to return to Old Trafford.

“Cristiano holds United dear to his heart because he was there six years,” Mendes said in an interview to Spanish TV show Elpartidodelas12

“But now he just thinks of the Real Madrid and he will always be there, and he is thrilled.

“People know that it is impossible to get Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid.”

According to various reports, United have been told it would cost around £140m to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, as Real Madrid are likely to demand a £60m fee, while the Portuguese would be expected to ask a four-year contract worth £20m a year.

“Ronaldo is the best player ever. He keeps improving and while he has affection towards Manchester United, he wants to stay at Real Madrid,” Mendes said.

“He is happy there, he has a great relationship with the president, and has a long contract: he will retire at Real Madrid.

“There won’t be any player as good as him for the next 500 years.”
