Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has picked Mason Greenwood as the Red Devils’ best young player during a Q&A session with the fans on Twitter.
Greenwood made his debut for the Red Devils last term but he has found his feet in the current campaign where he has already netted 12 goals from 36 appearances in all competitions.
The majority of those games have come from the bench for Greenwood but he has still managed the club’s third-best scoring tally after the experienced duo of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
As a result, he has definitely built his reputation from the beginning of the campaign and Lukaku mentioned his name when asked to choose the best young United player.

Greenwood has primarily played as the centre-forward during his academy days but he has featured more in the right-wing position this term with Anthony Martial regularly leading the line.
Elsewhere, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has probably under-played him during the backend of the campaign and that has frustrated a section of the United supporters.
Still, the choice can be considered as a wise one, given the Norwegian is aiming to protect the teenager from any injuries associated with regular starts at the early phase of his career.
