Rival club’s brand new singing refused to move to Manchester United

New Manchester City signing Ferran Torres rejected a move to their across the town rivals.

According to One Football, Torres rejected United to join the Sky Blues.

The Spanish winger joined Manchester City from Valencia in a deal worth €23 million (£20.8 million). He joins on a 5-year contract.

Torres is only one of the recent additions to the star power arriving at the Premier League this summer. The arrivals of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, James Rodriguez and Donny Van De Beek is sure to excite the footballing fans this season.

Torres caught the eye of many of European Giants with his eye-catching performances for Valencia in the La Liga and Uefa UCL. He rejected Real Madrid, Barcelona, United to join compatriot manager Pep Guardiola in the city of Manchester.

Torres’s performances last season have earned him recognition, with the winger being named in the shortlist for the 2020 Golden Boy award.

He is only one of the many names who have rejected a move to Old Trafford this summer. United’ deal for top target Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is dying. The likes of Jack Grealish, Gabriel, Ben Chilwell, Sergio Reguilon and Douglas Costa have also rejected United.

This does not bode well for OGS. The market is going to close in a few weeks and big chunks of United’s transfer business remains. It remains to be seen whether the lack of a winger and Ferran Torres’s arrival at City are going to have any impact on Manchester United’s season.
