Hannibal Mejbri’s representatives are reportedly in disbelief over his situation at Sevilla.
The 21-year-old joined the Spanish club in search of regular game time in January.
However, his stint at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium has turned into a nightmare as he has struggled to impress manager Quique Sanchez Flores.
The young midfielder has featured in four La Liga matches, starting only once.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Mejbri’s representatives are in ‘disbelief’ over his lack of opportunities at Sevilla.
They reportedly feel his career is going backwards and fear his chances will not improve between now and the end of the season.
What next for Mejbri?
Sevilla can make the Tunisia international’s loan move permanent for €18 million this summer.
However, they reportedly have no intention to sign him permanently by paying the transfer fee.
The attacking midfielder has a contract at Old Trafford until 2025.
United will likely sell him in the summer transfer window, but they could change their mind if he impresses during the pre-season.
The Red Devils signed Mejbri from Monaco in a deal worth up to €10 million in 2019.
Since he arrived in Manchester, he has scored once in 13 senior appearances.
While United will look to sell him, suitors could be few and far between due to his disappointing loan spell.
