Manchester United now want to sign ‘sensational’ Amadou Onana

Manchester United are keen to sign Amadou Onana from Everton in the summer transfer window.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Man United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bring the 21-year-old midfielder to Old Trafford this summer.

Onana is being viewed as an alternative to Sofyan Amrabat at United.

Central midfield is definitely a position Ten Hag must strengthen. The Dutchman needs to bring in more competition and cover for Casemiro, with an upgrade on Scott McTominay needed if Man United are to force themselves back into the big time.

And it seems as though Onana could be the man for the job this summer if the Red Devils fail to agree a deal to bring Amrabat to Old Trafford.

The Daily Mail reckon that the Toffees ace is firmly on Ten Hag’s radar this summer.

The Belgian is an elite player in the making. He has absolutely everything needed to reach the very highest levels of the game.

He has power, pace, energy, stamina, dynamism and athleticism in abundance. The Everton ace is a powerful box-to-box midfielder and would provide Ten Hag with a completely different option in the middle of the park.

The Belgium international is a tenacious tackler but also has the ability to carry the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, with his incredible engine and tight ball control.

Onana has been described by Sport Magazine as a ‘sensational’ young player.

He would be a superb addition for Man United this summer, but only if Everton are prepared to sell him for a reasonable fee.
