Real Madrid ready to sign Manchester United’s most expensive player under one condition

Spanish champions Real Madrid still retain their interest in Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, The Los Blancos will only make a move for the World cup winning midfielder if their manager Zinedine Zidane stays at the club.

The love story between Zidane and Pogba has been going on for a long time.

The French manager would love nothing more than to bring the midfielder to Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid tried to sign the midfielder in 2019, but the club didn’t want to foot the bill for a move that would have cost €300 million euros between transfer fees and wages.

Pogba himself acknowledged last week his desire to move to Madrid.

Speaking on international duty with France, this is what he had to say:

“Yes, all football players would love to play for Real Madrid. It is a dream for me, why not one day?”.

Manchester United shelled out the big bucks to bring Pogba back from Juventus in the summer of 2016.

The midfielder still remains United’s club record transfer signing.

Pogba has had a Topsy-turvy spell at the club. He has endured his share of the criticism for not being serious enough for a club of United’s stature. His spell on the sidelines due to injuries have also added to this.

Though United remain optimistic, Pogba is yet to agree to a new contract extension.

His current contract expires at the end of this season. Pogba was signed under Jose Mourinho for a club-record fee of £89m – he’s still United’s most expensive player.

Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in bringing Paul Pogba back to Turin.
