Rasmus Hojlund sends message to Benjamin Sesko & Mason Mount after Man Utd’s 2-0 Premier League win vs Sunderland

Manchester United picked up a 2-0 win over Sunderland in the Premier League at Old Trafford yesterday.

The Red Devils have had a tough start to the campaign, but they have been impressive at home.

United secured a third consecutive home win after beating the Black Cats in a relatively comfortable fashion.

Mason Mount opened the scoring with a sublime effort inside the box after just eight minutes.

Sesko doubled the lead after the 30th-minute mark. He capitalised on a defensive error from a Diogo Dalot long throw to bag his maiden goal at Old Trafford.

Mount and Sesko posted updates on Instagram shortly after the game. Rasmus Hojlund was quick to appreciate them. It was certainly well-received with many likes.

The Dane posted a double fire emoji in response to Mount’s post.

For Sesko, he wrote: ‘Congrats my friend’.

Here are the respective screenshots.

Hojlund had a difficult 2024/25 campaign with the Red Devils. He struggled in the Premier League with just four goals from 31 appearances.

Sesko’s summer arrival paved the way for his loan move to Napoli. He was reluctant to leave but eventually did so for regular game time.

The Dane has fared well for the Serie A champions. He has scored three goals from six outings, including a brace in the Champions League.

Napoli have an obligation to buy Hojlund for £38 million if some conditions are met. That includes Champions League qualification.

If he can keep his current form going, Antonio Conte’s side will most certainly sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, United will be delighted with their investment on Sesko. He has scored in back-to-back league games after a difficult start.

The Slovenian star is slowly but surely adapting to the higher intensity of the league, and should prove a fine acquisition for the Red Devils.

Mount’s first goal of the campaign was another bright spark yesterday. He is undoubtedly one of the best playmakers in the league on his day.

If the Englishman can stay unscathed, he would no doubt make regular goal contributions and become an undisputed starter for United.
