Rasmus Hojlund and Lisandro Martinez seen with Manchester United squad at Etihad Stadium for Manchester City game

Rasmus Hojlund and Lisandro Martinez are with the Manchester United squad at the Etihad Stadium for the game against Manchester City today, according to PA Media Chief football writer Simon Peach.

The duo are currently injured and it is unknown what their exact involvement will be today.

Man United will be looking to close the gap between them and the top-four by securing all three points against their bitter city rivals, and having Hojlund and Martinez available would be a massive boost.

However, it is likely that they have just joined their Red Devils teammates to provide them with much-needed motivation and support for the Manchester derby.

The Denmark international striker is currently sidelined with a muscle injury and he missed the league game against Fulham and the FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

He was tipped to spend two to three weeks on the sidelines and is expected to miss the Man City game, but Man United could do with him given his form before getting injured.

Hojlund notched eight goals and two assists in his last eight games across all competitions, and having him available for selection against the reigning champions will give the Red Devils a chance of leaving Etihad with a result.

Martinez has not featured for Man United since he was withdrawn against West Ham United due to a knee injury on February 4 and was immediately sidelined for at least eight weeks.

Only four weeks have passed since then and the Argentina international is unlikely to have recovered.

The Red Devils must find a way to get something out of the Sunday game without two of their most important players.

Manager Erik ten Hag will desperately hope his team delivers given the growing pressure he is under.
