Manchester United head to the Parc des Princes to take on Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night knowing the face a tough task to turn things around in their Champions League last-16 tie.
We slumped to a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat to the Ligue 1 champions at Old Trafford last month and it’s left us needing a minor miracle in Paris to avoid crashing out of the competition at the first knockout stage.
The loss to PSG is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s only defeat since coming in as caretaker manager back in December as the Norwegian coach has been virtually faultless in the domestic competitions.
We are safely through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and we moved back in to the top for of the Premier League table with a 3-2 comeback win over Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
That win made it 10 wins and 2 draws for Solskjaer in the league, which is an outstanding record, but the former striker would be nailed-on for the permanent managerial position [if he isn’t already] if he could turn the tie around against PSG on Tuesday.
Betting odds
PSG are the 1/2 favourites to win on the night and 1/200 to qualify for the last-8 of the Champions League. We can be backed at 5/1 to win in Paris and for those who believe in miracles, you can back us to progress at 16/1.
I do think we’ll put up a good fight and secure a draw on Tuesday night, which can be backed at 18/5, but unfortunately it won’t be good enough to qualify as the damage was done in the first leg.
My predicted score is 2-2 which is available at odds of 13/1 but if you use any free bets you have available then that will make this a risk free bet. Most bookmakers give existing customers free bets from time to time so it’s worth checking your account before placing any bets.
Both teams to score at odds of 3/4 looks tempting while I also like over 2.5 match goals at 4/7 but for those who like something more adventurous, we can back Marcus Rashford to score first in a 2-2 at huge odds of 103/1.
