Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Red Devils have played out successive draws against Crystal Palace and FC Twente, and manager Erik ten Hag will want a strong performance today.

The club are six points adrift of the top four, and the game is a must-win. United will be eyeing their first victory over Spurs in four meetings.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana has been ever-present in the Premier League since his arrival from Inter Milan last year. He was tremendous against Palace last weekend with an outstanding double save.

The Cameroonian is assured to start ahead of Altay Bayindir. Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are nailed-on starters at full-back.

Harry Maguire is expected to drop to the bench, with Matthijs de Ligt set to partner Lisandro Martinez in the heart of the defence. The duo have formed a solid partnership.

Manuel Ugarte has yet to make his full Premier League debut. He was not at his best in midweek where he lost possession on 15 occasions. He will likely start on the bench.

Ten Hag hinted in his press conference that both teams could go with an attacking approach. The Dutchman could stick with Christian Eriksen, who scored the only goal versus FC Twente.

Kobbie Mainoo looks likely to get the nod alongside the Denmark international. The duo have been paired together for the league games since the September international break.

There may be one change further forward, with Amad Diallo making way for Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing.

Marcus Rashford was United’s best player versus FC Twente and should continue on the opposite flank.

Bruno Fernandes has been guilty of squandering possession on 53 occasions in the last two games, but Ten Hag has completely backed him in his pre-match presser.

The captain will continue in the number 10 role. Joshua Zirkzee will most likely feature up front ahead of Rasmus Hojlund, having impressed with his link-up play.

The Dutchman has been guilty of missing some clear-cut chances but has been getting into good scoring positions.

Hojlund could be introduced at the hour mark due to his lack of minutes.
