Manchester United will be eyeing a fourth successive Premier League win when they face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road this evening.
The Red Devils have made good progress in the top-flight over the past few weeks. This has coincided with an upturn in form for the club’s front men.
Rasmus Hojlund has scored for five league games on the bounce while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have also been among the goals.
Erik ten Hag will be eyeing another victory to close the gap to fourth-placed Aston Villa to five points.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Andre Onana has been ever-present in the Premier League this term. He was brilliant in the recent 2-1 win over Aston Villa with a number of key saves. He will be eyeing his eighth clean sheet of the top-flight campaign.
In front of him, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane should be assured starters. Luke Shaw was substituted at the break at Villa Park with a minor injury. In his absence, Victor Lindelof featured at left-back, but the Swede was far from comfortable.
Shaw is deemed doubtful for today’s game and our in view, Ten Hag may not take a risk with him unless he is fully fit. Sofyan Amrabat and Jonny Evans are other senior choices for the left-back role, but the manager may have other plans in mind.
We could see Dalot from the left-back spot with Willy Kambwala coming in at right-back. The 19-year-old has played there regularly for the development squad. He has looked assured with his defensive contributions and ball-playing ability.
Further forward, no changes are expected in midfield. Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo are starting to form a fine partnership and Ten Hag should not ponder a change in personnel. Scott McTominay scored another late winner, but he is more effective coming off the bench.
The attack should stay unchanged with Garnacho and Rashford starting either side of Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role. Hojlund should lead the line as usual. The Dane can become the youngest-ever player to score in six consecutive Premier League games today.
