Manchester United will be eyeing back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they host Leeds United at Old Trafford tonight.
The Red Devils recently secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the top-flight. They had to work hard for the result after Casemiro was sent off in the 70th minute.
In the same game, Antony sustained an injury which forced him to be substituted. Hence, manager Erik ten Hag is set to make at least two changes to his starting line-up.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
David de Gea has been in superb form in goal in recent months. He made a crucial save from a powerful Marc Guehi header last weekend. The Spaniard is expected to start between the sticks.
We anticipate a solitary change in the backline with Aaron Wan-Bissaka making way for Diogo Dalot, who was an unused substitute against Palace after his recovery from a thigh injury.
Wan-Bissaka has fared well in Dalot’s injury absence but the latter should be reinstated into the line-up as he offers much more in the final third with his key passes and overlapping runs.
The rest of the defence should stay unchanged. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have been brilliant in central defence and should keep their places. Luke Shaw will start at left-back.
In midfield, there will be a forced change with Casemiro now serving a three-man suspension. Fred should occupy the number six role in his place, considering Scott McTominay is also injured.
Marcel Sabitzer is widely expected to make his full Premier League debut for United. The Austrian will take up the number eight position where he is most accomplished to playing from.
Further forward, Ten Hag will have to make a change with Antony sidelined. We anticipate Jadon Sancho to get the nod over Alejandro Garnacho, who is primarily a left winger by trade.
Sancho could feature into the number 10 position with Bruno Fernandes occupying the right wing. Marcus Rashford will certainly start on the left flank with Wout Weghorst leading the line.
