Manchester United completed a £50 million deal to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace earlier this week. The 21-year-old will slot straight into the right-back role following the departure of Antonio Valencia.
The young defender had been representing England at the European Under-21 Championship in Italy and San Marino earlier this month prior to the deal being completed. Wan-Bissaka has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
He becomes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second signing of the summer having already brought in winger Daniel James from Swansea City earlier this month. That’s two young signings made by the Norwegian boss.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka becomes the club’s most expensive defender of all-time, surpassing the £30 million fee we paid Southampton for Luke Shaw in 2014. Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel Di Maria and Fred are the only players to have commanded a bigger transfer fee to join United than our latest arrival.
The England under-21 international will participate in pre-season training ahead of friendly matches before we kickoff the 2019-20 Premier League season with matches against Chelsea the second weekend on August.
