Paul Scholes far from impressed with Manchester United performance against Luton Town despite victory

Manchester United secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Luton Town on Sunday to move closer to the top four in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have now won four consecutive league games for the first time this season and could break into the Champions League places at the end of the campaign if they sustain their current momentum.

However, former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes was far from impressed with what he saw from the Red Devils.

They raced into a 2-0 lead seven minutes into the game courtesy of a brace from Rasmus Hojlund, but the hosts pulled a goal back seven minutes later and were close to drawing level several times.

Man United appeared to be on their way to blowing Luton out of the water following their impressive start to the game, but the hosts turned things around and could have snatched a point in the closing stages.

However, Man United held on to the win, and Scholes took to Instagram to share exactly how most fans feel about their recent performances.

The Red Devils have won 14 league games this term, but 12 of them were by a one-goal margin, and they could have easily ended up drawing most of them.

Their struggles when it comes to strolling to victories have been evident, and they have to improve significantly going forward if they want to play in the Champions League next season.

Man United still have to face Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion this season.

They cannot afford to put in unconvincing performances against such clubs if they want to pick up points in those games.
