Paul Pogba undecided over future, has not ruled out Man Utd stay

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has not ruled out the possibility of staying with the club beyond this summer, Daily Mail reports.

The Frenchman’s future has been a regular topic of discussion in recent months, with his contract expiring at the end of June.

There has been no progress over a renewal until now, but the club remain optimistic about him committing to another long-term deal.

It is now reported that the 28-year-old is undecided over his future and may wait until the summer to decide on his next move.

Paris Saint-Germain are willing to hand him a ‘mega-offer’ to sign a pre-contract with them, but the midfielder is willing to stay patient.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are also keeping tabs on his situation, but Pogba has not ruled out staying with the Red Devils.

Our view:

Pogba made a stunning start to the Premier League campaign with seven assists from four games, but his performances dipped thereafter.

He picked up a red card in the embarrassing 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool in October before suffering a thigh injury in France training.

Pogba recently made a comeback after a three-month gap and has looked a cut above the rest in midfield, scoring a vital equaliser at Burnley.

The £49.5 million-rated star was also hugely impressive against Southampton winning 11 duels, although the game also ended in a draw.

There is still plenty of time left in the campaign. Pogba’s contract decision could partly depend on the club’s final league position.

They are currently outside of the Champions League places. He may not stay if they fail to qualify for the elite competition next term.

The next manager could also be influential to his decision. United’s director of football John Murtough has urged Pogba to delay his future stance until the club appoint a permanent head coach this summer.
