Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has hinted that he could leave Old Trafford this summer, amid reports that Real Madrid are interested.
The French international has been a flop at United since his then world record €105 million move from Juventus in 2016.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to get two good months out of Pogba when taking over in December, but the 26-year-old disappeared on the pitch during the final three months.
Paul Pogba has now been quoted as saying that this summer could be a good time to find a new challenge. He said:
“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge.”
Yesterday, TalkSport were the latest to report that Real Madrid want to add Pogba to their ranks this summer. Zinedine Zidane’s side have already spent over £250 million this summer on the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo Goes as the Spanish giants look to make a challenge for the La Liga title next season.
Having not signed a central midfielder during the current transfer window it would not be surprised if Zidane makes a move for his fellow countryman. Mateo Kovacic, James Rodriguez and Martin Odegaard have all returned from season-long loans however.
