Paul Pogba could be out for as long as three months, according to a report in the Times today.
The French international picked up a hamstring injury in the opening 20 minutes of our 3-0 thrashing of FC Basel in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
So far Jose Mourinho has only confirmed that Pogba is definitely unavailable for today’s match versus Everton at Old Trafford.
However, the Times are now reporting that ‘specialists’ claim that the 24-year-old could required as many as 12 weeks of rehabilitation.
Should this report be accurate then Pogba would miss our trips to Liverpool (14 October), Chelsea (5 November), Arsenal (2 December), the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday 9 December and our five remaining Champions League group games.
Whilst the club has not confirmed this news we shall take it with a pinch of salt for the time being and wish Pogba a speedy recovery.
Paul Pogba had made an excellent start to the new season with two goals and two assists in our opening four Premier League matches of the 2017-18 season.
