Patrick Dorgu delivers brilliant display in Denmark’s 6-0 win vs Belarus

Manchester United star Patrick Dorgu put on a fantastic performance for Denmark in their 6-0 win over Belarus.

The Danes ran riot in their third UEFA World Cup qualifying clash, tightening their grip at the top of Group C due to better goal difference than Scotland.

Dorgu started in the left wing-back spot and contributed heavily in the victory.

He was inches away from scoring early on when his thunderous left-footed strike smashed against the woodwork, before Rasmus Hojlund pounced on the rebound for a simple finish.

Fortunes turned in his favour just a few moments later as Hojlund showed unselfishness to set up Dorgu.

The 20-year-old had an empty goal to shoot at from close range to put Denmark 4-0 ahead before the break.

Rasmus Hojlund and Anders Dreyer both bagged braces, while teenager Victor Froholdt also found the scoresheet.

Denmark completely dominated proceedings, leaving Dorgu with little defensive work to worry about.

The £28 million-rated star was the most fouled player of the evening and had two shots on target out of three.

He had 15 touches in the opposition’s box and successfully completed two dribbles.

Dorgu has made an impressive start to life at Man United, though his final delivery still needs polish.

His physical transformation over the summer is clear, which has helped him to charge relentlessly up and down the flank.

His teammates have often found him in acres of space but he has failed to meet the expectations with his crosses into the box.

With Benjamin Sesko leading the United front-line, Dorgu has the perfect towering target man to aim for and boost his assist tally.

United head coach Ruben Amorim has placed responsibility on him to turn promise into an end product at Old Trafford.
