Ole had this to say about Mason Greenwood after 5-2 win

Manchester United came from behind to beat Bournemouth 5-2 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Wins for both Leicester City and Chelsea prevented us from finishing the day in top four.

We are next in action on Thursday when we travel to relegation placed Aston Villa, who themselves are away to Liverpool later today.

During our win, Mason Greenwood scored a fine equaliser on half hour, and scored a key goal to make it 4-2 shortly after Bournemouth had reduced the deficit from the penalty spot.

The 18-year-old’s second goal saw him run directly at Diego Rico before firing a right-footed effort across goal and into Aaron Ramsdale’s far corner.

Greenwood has been excellent playing on the right of our front three since the restart

Speaking about the man of the match after our victory, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had the following to say to MUTV:

“Yeah, he’s a fantastic goalscorer and the moments he chose the goals for us today were very important moments, especially the second one. You know he has a left foot to come inside but I think defenders will have to think about the outside because he can score with his right foot too. He’s a very talented boy and we’ll just nurture him as well as we can, and give him more and more minutes.”

Prior to the disruption back in March, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hadn’t settled on a right winger, with Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata all being tested down the flank. Greenwood is making the position his own now.

Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils this summer. It will be interesting to see if we can land the England international as the boss continues to improve our attack.

Daniel James hasn’t had too much playing time since the restart but got a 15-minute run out at the end after replacing Mason Greenwood on Saturday.
