As per ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unhappy with Ed Woodward due to the club’s failure to sign top two targets – Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland for the past two transfer windows.
Solskjaer believes a deal could still go through for both the players. Haaland has a €75m release clause in his contract – which cannot be exercised until 2022. Ole believes Haaland will make financial and sporting sense for the club. The two Norwegians met each other last year and share a good relationship.
Sancho is valued at €120m and still remains United’s top priority. Mark Odgen believes that the failure to sign them has not dampened United’s enthusiasm to bring the €195m duo to Old Trafford.
Solskjaer believes both are ideal for United’s long-term development due to their age and potential.
However, it is hard to say if Ole will be at the club after this season – with an awry start to the season and rumours linking Mauricio Pochettino to the manager’s seat.
