Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggests Manchester United will not buy any center-backs

Amid the Jadon Sancho transfer saga, United are also looking forward to sign center-backs this summer.

They are heavily linked with Gabriel Magalhaes and Kalidou Koulibaly. With rumours surrounding that Phil Jones leaving the club, they need more defenders to compete.

However, the Evening Standard reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to trust the current bunch of center-backs he has.

Earlier this week, we learnt that Marco Rojo is coming back to United. Ole also believes that Eric Bailly, when fit, is a top-class defender.

Bailly loves Solskjaer too.

He’s someone that will always talk to you,” Bailly told ESPN.

“He always communicates well. He gives you so much confidence because as a footballer, you go through moments where you feel low and he can read that and when he sees that he immediately comes over to you and talks to you.”

The Ivorian defender started against Copenhagen in the quarter final and impressed the Norwegian boss with a superb performance.

If Solskjaer plans to not buy any center-backs, Chris Smalling could get a chance to stay at Old Trafford too.
