Ole confirms 2 injuries ahead of Norwich FA Cup tie

Manchester United are back in action away to Norwich City in our FA Cup quarter-final tie at Carrow Road on Saturday.

We are coming off the back of a thumping 3-0 Premier League win over Sheffield Untied on Wednesday, whilst the Canaries had lost 0-1 at home to Everton hours earlier.

Daniel Farke’s side prop up the table and we have already done the league double over them this season – 3-1 in the trip to East Anglia back in October and 4-0 at Old Trafford at the start of the new year. However, the cup always throws up a few surprises…

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking to the press this morning to give a team news and injury update ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

The Norwegian was able to confirm that there have been no new injuries since midweek and therefore only Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe will miss the trip.

Solskjaer confirmed to MUTV:

“Are there any new injuries? No. I think we came through unscathed,”

“It’s still Axel and Phil, they’re out. They are the only two absentees.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was also able to confirm that Jesse Lingard has missed our first two matches of the restart through illness, but that the England international is available for the FA Cup:

“Jesse [Lingard] is fine now.

“He wasn’t feeling well. He was ill so we kept him away for a couple of days but he’s fine now, and has had his tests and everything.”

Saturday’s game kicks off at 17:30 GMT and is live on the BBC.
