‘Not Good’, ‘we’re finished’, some Man United fans react to injury blow for 26-year-old star

A section of the Manchester United fans have expressed their concern following a report which has stated that Paul Pogba won’t be available for the Premier League clash against Liverpool next weekend.

The Frenchman made his comeback from an ankle problem towards the end of September and he was able to play through 90 minutes against Rochdale and Arsenal in the League Cup and Premier League respectively.

However, he was thereafter deemed unavailable by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to a recurrence of the same concern but the Norwegian did suggest that the midfielder would be available for the Liverpool clash.

In a fresh report published by The Mail, it is now revealed that the midfielder is ‘almost certain’ to miss the forthcoming league game, considering he is still training with a protective case on his right foot.

The same publication claims that a comeback date will be decided by the club doctors following Pogba’s return from the warm weather recovery programme in Dubai but he may still remain sidelined for the rest of the month.

In response to this, a number of United fans have expressed their frustration over the midfielder’s condition and here are some of the reactions on Twitter…

The 26-year-old has not made a goalscoring contribution since the curtain-raiser against Chelsea, where he bagged a couple of assists. Still, he remains one of United’s main creative outlets and most fans will admit that the team tends to perform better when the Frenchman gets into his groove.

Manchester United are currently on just nine points after the opening eight league games of the season and they are only a couple of points ahead of the drop zone. In the present form, the upcoming league clash against Jurgen Klopp’s side remains a stiff challenge but the players have generally turned up in the past when they have come against their fierce rivals.
