A section of the Manchester United fans have expressed their delight following the arrival of Harry Maguire from Leicester City. The England international had been linked with the club since the beginning of the transfer window and they have eventually landed his signature after paying up a world-record fee for a defender.
Shortly after the announcement was made, a number of United supporters took to Twitter to express their views and the reaction was largely positive as expected with many believing that the 26-year-old should fit perfectly into a young and exciting defence next season.
Here are some of the reactions after Maguire’s arrival…..
No fans of any other club than Manchester United will understand the sheer happiness of signing Harry Maguire cause no fans of any other club have had to put up with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones been your first choice centre back partnership for the past six years ?

Maguire looks to be so happy to be at United. That’s what we want.. quality + willingness to play for us. If Dybala doesn’t want to come, we have to let go #MUFC

Maguire is expected to link up with his new teammates in training on Tuesday and he could be involved in the Premier League curtain-raiser against Chelsea on August 11, considering he has already got an extended run-out with the Foxes during pre-season.
Meanwhile, United appear no closer to pursuing another signing during the ongoing transfer window and M.E.N has recently reported that there may not be a replacement signed in the case of Romelu Lukaku’s exit.
The Belgium international’s move to Juventus broke down on Sunday after United could not finalise personal terms with Paulo Dybala, who was anticipated to make the switch to Old Trafford in a straight-swap agreement.
Still, Lukaku continues to attract interest from Inter Milan and it is indicated that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be willing to sanction the striker’s sale with the likes of Mason Greenwood impressing during pre-season.
