Manchester United have delivered another major announcement regarding the future structure of their first-team setup ahead of next season.
The Red Devils have officially confirmed that the entire senior coaching staff has signed fresh two-year contracts with the club.
The coaching staff includes Steve Holland, Jonathan Woodgate, Jonny Evans, Travis Binnion and Craig Mawson.
The announcement arrives just one day after United confirmed that Michael Carrick will continue as the full-time head coach.
He has penned down a two-year deal with the club having the option to extend his stay by 12 months.
Holland has an illustrious history of coaching in the English football pyramid.
The gaps in defence remain but he has improved the defensive showings over the last four months.
He served as an assistant to England manager Gareth Southgate, helping the Three Lions reach the 2020 UEFA Euro final and the 2018 World Cup Semi-final.
Jonny Evans remains a hugely respected and familiar figure inside the Old Trafford dressing room.
The Northern Irishman brought an end to his playing career last season after making 241 appearances across two separate spells for United.
Earlier this season, Evans worked as the club’s head of loans and pathways before stepping away from the role in December to spend more time with his family.
Little did he know that United would soon call him back to become part of the first-team coaching staff.
Woodgate have formed a strong professional partnership with Carrick, having previously worked together at Middlesbrough.
Binnion earned promotion to the senior coaching setup after impressing as the head coach of the Under-21 side before Carrick’s appointment.
The highly-rated coach has played an important role in developing United’s attacking players, particularly helping Benjamin Sesko to produce decisive performances this season.
Craig Mawson has been part of the goalkeeping coaching staff since 2019. He will now continue working alongside Carrick and the rest of the coaching staff as United prepare for a hugely important new era at Old Trafford.
