‘Never been happier’: Rashford is enjoying life after leaving Man United

Manchester United are desperate to offload their out-of-favour players this summer.

Marcus Rashford is one of the stars on that list and is currently spending the second half of the 2024-25 season with Aston Villa on loan.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Rashford is enjoying his time and has “never been happier” during his loan spell at Aston Villa.

A change of scenery has clearly benefited the England international.

His situation at United soured under new United head coach Ruben Amorim, who axed him from the squad in December’s derby clash against Manchester City.

Amorim believed that the 27-year-old lacked full commitment during training sessions.

Aston Villa have the option to trigger the buy clause worth £40 million to sign Rashford permanently this summer.

He has bagged three goals and six assists in 15 games.

Ideally, Unai Emery would have liked the forward to score more goals.

Rashford started as a centre-forward in the 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

He delivered an electric performance by creating the most number of chances (4).

He completed four successful dribbles and produced a sensational assist to set up Ezri Konsa’s goal.

While he has shown flashes of brilliance, Rashford still has work to do to convince Villa to fork out £40m or attract interest from Europe’s elite clubs.

The United academy star was drawing one of the highest paycheck at Old Trafford.

Offloading him would hand the Red Devils a significant financial boost ahead of a pivotal summer rebuild.

Amorim is eyeing at least two fresh faces in attack, along with a dynamic wing-back to reshape his squad.

Recruiting a midfielder will also become crucial if Casemiro departs.
