Manchester United will begin the defence of their Premier League title with a trip to Swansea on August 17 ,followed by a home fixture against Chelsea on August 24 set to be David Moyes’ first official game at Old Trafford.
United will travel to Anfield without Sir Alex Ferguson for the first time in 26 years on the third weekend of the season – as tough a start for David Moyes as he could have hoped for – before hosting Crystal Palace and present Moyes’ with his first chance to taste the Manchester derby a week later, on September 21.
United host Arsenal on November 9, while less than a month later Moyes will welcome his former club Everton on December 3. United travel to newly promoted Hull City on Boxing Day, before traveling to Norwich on December 28 and hosting Spurs on New Year’s Day.
The new United manager will have to wait until April 19 before returning to Goodison Park, with Everton arguably the trickiest game of United’s run-in, which will see them hosting Sunderland and Norwich as well, before concluding the season with a trip to Southampton on May 11.
